Finance Clerk - Novotel Brisbane Airport

Full-Time Permanent

The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge, IRD`s and 17 meeting spaces. Located at the Brisbane Airport precinct, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct. 

 

Novotel Brisbane Airport is currently seeking a Finance Clerk to join the finance team on a full time basis. Reporting to the Hotel Accountant this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional with experience to our team.  In this role you will be responsible for, assisting with the daily operation of the Finance department, directly overseeing and assisting with daily transaction reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables.

 

Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with End of month reports, end of month stock control and spot check
  • Banking and cash taking tasks
  • Petty cash recording and reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Credit card daily reconciliation
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain contracts between customers and suppliers with the Hotel, periodical review and renegotiation
  • Ad hoc duties when required

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:


  • 1-2 years previous experience as Accounts Clerk or similar role
  • Relevant tertiary qualification desirable however not essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage own time to meet set deadlines
  • Work well under pressure
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Opera desirable
  • Authentic customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to resolve issues to desired outcome

Apron Restaurant & Bar is currently looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Attendant to join the professional team.

This is your opportunity to join our Food and Beverage team at Pullman Brisbane Airport. As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy. Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following: 
 

Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages.
  • Maximise sales opportunities by upselling items.
  • Ensure accuracy whilst ordering and delivering food and beverage orders.
  • Use Micros to place orders.
  • Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals.
  • Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy.
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.

To be successful in this role, you MUST have:

  • Your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience

Conference Centre Supervisor - Brisbane Airport Conference Centre

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre boasts 11 conference and meeting rooms, including a 300 seat pillar-less ballroom, boardrooms, business centre, cloakroom and generous breakout terraces. This Centre will be capable of hosting up to 600 delegates at any one time. 

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre is currently seeking a motivated and experienced full time Conference Centre Supervisor to join our dynamic and professional team. 

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Conference Centre Manager with day to day operations of all Conference Rooms.
  • Maintain a constant focus on providing excellent guest experience at all times.
  • Lead, mentor and train the team members, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment.
  • Assist in recruitment and induction of new team members.
  • Ensure that team members are briefed on all specials and standard menu items.

Hotel Duty Manager (Front Office) Pullman Brisbane Airport

With 375 guest rooms, 2 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 13 meeting spaces collectively totalling 1800m2. Located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.  

Pullman Brisbane Airport boasts 132 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, including 2 Presidential Suites, free-form swimming pool incorporating a 20m lap pool, gym, up market restaurant and Executive Lounge. The hotel adjoins the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre.

Pullman Brisbane Airport is currently looking for a full time Hotel Duty Manager, to join the professional and dynamic Front Office team. This full time role reports to the Front Office Manager, with responsibilities including leading the smooth day-to day shift operation within the Front Office department.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered too.
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Be proactive and resourceful.
  • Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive.
  • Have the necessary skills and training to actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by customers.
  • Provide guidance, support training and leadership to all employees.
  • Team Trainer.
  • Monitor training and offer guidance to employees whilst on shift.

To be successful in this role, you MUST have:

  • The ability to hold a QLD Responsible Management of Licensed Venues.

Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently seeking a Director of Food & Beverage to manage Pullman & ibis Brisbane Airport`s Food Service Offering throughout all outlets. Working alongside the Executive Chef and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the department.

Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently looking for a talented & experienced Senior Conference Sales Executive who will report to the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre Manager and will be responsible for managing the growth and development, promotion and sales activities of the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre.

Key Responsibilities will Include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for all conference and event enquiries.
  • Prepare and issue contracts.
  • Liaise among departments with Banquet Event Orders and weekly meetings.
  • Following up on contracts issued and converting business.
  • Ensure that contractual details are followed up. EG. Deposits, invoicing, etc.
  • Conduct site inspections for potential clients when necessary.
  • Prepare end of month reporting and weekly forecasts.
  • Represent the hotel at hotel, trade and Industry events when required.
  • Identify new sources of residential conferences and special events.
  • Checking customer satisfaction and resolving any outstanding issues to ensure future business.
  • Personally meet and greet all VIP conference clients and function facilitators on arrival.
  • Maximise yield opportunities for the group where ever possible.

  • Account management of existing hotel business to maintain or increase market share
  • Negotiation of rates and in consultation with Manager

To be successful in this role, you must have;

  • High standard of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a 4 star or higher hotel / conference centre environment with exposure to sales and conferencing.
  • Proven time management and organisation skills.
  • Effective written and aural communications skills essential.
  • Working knowledge of the Opera property Management systems, Microsoft Office suite and computer skills essential.
