Duty Manager - ibis Brisbane Airport Hotel

ibis Brisbane Airport is currently looking for a full time Duty Manager (Front Office), to join the professional and dynamic Front Office team. This full time role reports to the Front Office Manager, with responsibilities including leading the smooth day-to day shift operation within the Front Office department. 

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered too.
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Be proactive and resourceful.
  • Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive.
  • Have the necessary skills and training to actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by customers.
  • Provide guidance, support training and leadership to all employees.
  • Monitor training and offer guidance to employees whilst on shift.
  • Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues.
  • Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and staff members.
To be successful in this role, you MUST have:
  • Previous front office experience at a supervisory level
  • Proven experience in Fidelio or Opera
  • Proven customer service, communication and personal presentation skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and public holidays
  • The ability to hold a QLD Responsible Management of Licensed Venues.

We are currently recruiting for full-time, part-time and casual Food and Beverage Attendants to join our fun and dynamic team at Novotel Brisbane Airport. 

As a Food & Beverage attendant you will be responsible for creating a professional impression for the hotel through Catalina Restaurant and Bar, In Room Dining and Banqueting.

Handyman/Painter - Brisbane Airport Hotels Group

Full-Time Permanent

The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 375 guest rooms, 2 restaurants, Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, Executive Lounge and 12 meeting spaces collectively totalling 1800m2 it is intended to open in October this year. Located at the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation and meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.  

Brisbane Airport Hotels Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Handyman to join our Maintenance team. This is a critical position in the team and will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor & Maintenance Manager of the hotels & conference centre.

Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Assist the Maintenance team in the day to day maintenance requirements of the hotels & conference centre.
  • Predominantly working as a painter across the two hotels and the Conference Centre
  • Complete daily rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
  • Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment and water reticulation to ensure acceptable availability and reliability.
  • Ensure all equipment is used, stored and maintained correctly. 
  • Assist in keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant & equipment.
  • On completion of daily rounds sign off any relevant section of maintenance manuals. 
  • Liaise with supervisor / manager / contractor regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
  • Complete all tasks where possible within the required time frame once the request is received. 
  • Report back on the completion, or delay, of any task that is guest related.
  • The recording of all maintenance tasks performed complete and incomplete including any necessary reports in reference to repairs and preventative schedules.
  • Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat and tidy and maintained.
  • Maintain gym equipment in safe working order according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Carry out preventative and repair painting where required throughout the Hotel.

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

  •  Technical background with maintenance experience.
  •  Exceptional organizational skills as well as the ability to multi task.
  •  Available to carry our emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours.
  •  Comprehensive knowledge of fire systems.
  •  Trade qualification in painting will be an advantage.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Full-time Public Area Cleaner to join our Housekeeping Team.  As part of the Housekeeping team you will be responsible for offering a quality customer service experience by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas. 

Involving but not limited to maintaining public areas, toilet, gardens and external presentation of the building.  May be required to fill in other areas of the Housekeeping team including but not limited to guest room attendant and House person roles.

Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport is currently seeking a Demi Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. This role will report to the Executive Sous Chef & Executive Chef, with responsibilities including leading the smooth day-to day shift operation within the Kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

·         Maintain consistency in delivering 5 star meals.

·         Assisting with breakfast preparation.

·         Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.  Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.

·         Ability to work autonomously.
