Assistant Accountant / Payroll

The group is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant / Payroll on a full time basis based at ibis Brisbane Airport Hotel. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional with experience to become our Assistant Accountant / Payroll. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Finance department, directly overseeing and assisting with accounts payable, receivables and payroll operations, reporting, and maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet.

Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Timely and accurate processing of the hotel’s payroll
Responsible for maintaining payroll records
Resolving employee payroll related queries
Prepare management reports as required
Providing advice and support for the Executive Team
Developing and monitoring all financial systems for the Hotel with a view to improve and streamline procedures.
Liaising with third party stakeholders where required.
Ensuring internal controls and credit limits are maintained.

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

At least 2 years previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or Payroll personal.
Relevant tertiary qualification desirable however not essential.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to effectively time manage large volume work load, to meet deadlines and work well under pressure situations.
Experience using Wage Easy, Timetarget & Opera or similar software.
Authentic customer service, interpersonal & communication skills & be flexible in your approach to resolve issues.

Guest Service Agent - ibis Brisbane Airport

ibis Hotel Brisbane Airport is currently seeking a Guest Service Agent on a part-time basis to join the dynamic and enthusiastic Front Office team, reporting to the Front Office Manager. You will be responsible for providing efficient service for guest registration and departure, whilst maintaining accurate guest accounts and providing helpful information.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Provide quality service to guests by responding to their requests promptly, efficiently and courteously during check-in, check-out and throughout their stay.
Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis.
Maintain strict security procedures with credit and cash transactions, accounting procedures, issue of room keys and guest confidentiality/privacy.
Handling all calls promptly and professionally, greeting all callers according to Brisbane Airport Hotels Group policy.

The Group is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator on a full time to be based at Novotel Brisbane Airport hotel reporting to the General Manager of the hotel and in dotted line to the Director of Human Resources of the Brisbane Airport Hotels Group. You will be responsible for working closely with the General Manager & Department Heads to drive and foster a positive work environment at Novotel Brisbane Airport.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Coordinating recruitment & inductions to meet hotel staffing needs as required.
Generating employment contracts & induction packs.
Accurately administrating & managing personnel documentation and employee files.
Providing operational support across a range of HR functions and processes and contributing to team initiatives.

These roles will report to the Sous Chef & Executive Chef, will be responsible for ensuring all food preparation tasks assigned to you are completed in an efficient manner and to a consistently high standard. The successful applicants will also need to fulfil their TAFE obligations each week (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery).

The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre is currently seeking a motivated and experienced full time, salaried Conference Centre Supervisor to join our dynamic and professional team.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

Supervises the operations team to ensure all food & beverage service requirements are delivered with the highest level of standard and attention to detail.
Ensuring impeccable attention to customer service whilst liaising with presenters and organisers before and during their event ensuring that their event requirements are met.
Ensures that all Function detail sheets are communicated correctly to the operational staff ensuring that all client requests have been organised.
Build and develop professional relationships with all clients and ensuring that conference centre facilities and services are promoted to prospective clients.
