The Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman, Novotel and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 532 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Rooftop Event Space, Executive Lounge and 17 meeting spaces.
Pullman Brisbane Airport features 132 modern luxurious guest rooms, up market restaurant, pool, gymnasium and executive lounge. Opening in October this year, the hotel adjoins the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre, the first accommodation, meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct.
Pullman Brisbane Airport reopening after supporting Queensland Health with quarantine program and is currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to join the team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. As our Head Chef you will be directly responsible for the kitchen operations of the Restaurant & Bar, Room Service & Executive Lounge while ensuring total Guest Satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensuring the smooth daily operations of kitchen shifts of the Pullman Hotel.
- Developing & creating innovative menus alongside the Executive Chef.
- Achieve set KPI`s.
- Maximizing productivity & controlling food & labour costs.
- Producing quality, high volume meals in a fast paced environment.
- Managing and leading a brigade of Chefs.
- Maintaining a high level of hygiene and safe work practices.
- Training and development of Chefs and kitchen staff.
To be successful in this role, you MUST have:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a similar environment.
- Exposure to various cuisine styles in multiple outlets and open kitchens.
- The ability to lead, support & mentor small teams to achieve desired results.
- A strong understanding of modern food trends.
- A passion to learn and be challenged.
- Proven experience as a Senior Chef managing a team in a high volume restaurant.
- Microsoft Office skills.
